The Experience 

If you feel the need for speed, adrenalin, thrills and just a whole lot of fun join us for a sandboarding day. Using specially designed boards, our guide will have you zooming down the dunes in no time. At the end of the day you will be gliding over sand getting addicted to the thrill of the fastest growing underground sport.   

Vital Info
You should be reasonably physically fit to take part. Make sure to bring along some thick socks. This experience is ideal for complete beginners. Half day experience excludes lunch but includes transport to and from the venue (Cape Town only) and all required equipment. We can always stop off for a meal and sundowners at any one of the ideally situated restaurants in Table View and enjoy the sun setting behind Table Mountain !

The Weather
Sandboarding is a weather dependant activity and it would not take place in wet conditions.

Session Length
Your Sandboarding experience will last half a day. It begins with a safety briefing and an introduction to the equipment. Then you tackle some basic moves and ascertain which is your leading leg under the watchful eye of a qualified instructor.

Numbers
This experience is for a minimum of  two people, however a maximum of nine people may take part in each lesson with a qualified instructor.

Spectators
Friends and family are welcome to watch you take part.

Dress Code
Dress code is casual. Bring sunscreen, sun hat or cap, sunglasses, thick socks and a sense of fun.

Weekends and weekdays, or on a daily basis in season, subject to availability

True sandboarding is the art of standing with two feet locked onto a board and carving arks down a dune. One can control ones board and speed by turning, stopping and jumping. Bindings on the board and boots are important for control of the board and protection of one's ankles. The beauty is that once one can sandboard; one will be able to snowboard as the basic principles are the same.
